My DD is now 18 months old. I can't believe how quickly and, at the same time, how slowly the time has gone. She is finally starting to eat really food. Most kids start eating food around 6 months but my DD refused to even try until 12 months. Since then, though, the majority of the foods that go in her mouth come right back out again. Thus it is important to have the best types of bibs on hand to make sure we don't go through 5 different outfits a day and have to do a load of baby clothes every night. We started off by using the fabric bibs. I figured those where the best because that's the kind I had been given by friends and family at my baby shower. And, heck, I'm a new Mom how was I supposed to know any better. Well now I do know better. Fabric bibs are no longer my go to. My dear daughter (DD) has not been a big fan of eating since she was born. It's always been a struggle. We are always tip toeing around on eggshells trying not to draw any attention to ourselves when she eats and praying that she doesn't stop eating... because once she stops she will not start again even if she is still hungry. The rare occasions she takes a bottle and drinks the whole thing without stopping, are blessings from heaven. I worry constantly that she is not getting enough nutrition. The doctors assure me though, that she is okay as long as she has 3 wet diapers a day, she is getting enough liquid and she is not dehydrated. We just will keep trying and waiting for that glorious 12 months when we can really try other things and stop with the formula.
